Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions

NTP (Network Time Protocol) is a protocol used to synchronize clocks of computer systems over a network. A dedicated NTP time server ensures all your network devices, computers, and clocks display the same accurate time, which is critical for security logs, financial transactions, manufacturing timestamps, and many other applications.

A master clock is the central time source that maintains accurate time (usually synchronized to GPS or NTP). It distributes this time to slave clocks, which are simple display devices that receive and display the time signal from the master. This architecture ensures all clocks in a facility show exactly the same time.

Our GPS-synchronized NTP time servers achieve Stratum 1 accuracy with typical time accuracy within 1 microsecond to UTC. For network-synchronized clients, accuracy is typically within 1-10 milliseconds depending on network conditions.

Yes, most of our network clocks support PoE (802.3af/at), allowing them to receive both power and data over a single Ethernet cable. This simplifies installation and reduces wiring costs, especially in renovation projects.

All our products come with a standard 2-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Extended warranty options are available. The warranty does not cover damage from improper installation, electrical surges, or physical damage.
